INTERNATIONAL STUDENT PROGRAM COMOX VALLEY
Comox Valley Schools (SD71) is a positive and progressive school district situated on the east coast of Vancouver Island, the original territory of the First Nation K’ómoks. Located within the Valley are the City of Courtenay, the Town of Comox, Village of Cumberland and the Regional District; each specifies their own unique services and community cultures.
As an educational organization, SD71 works closely with other educational partners to train responsible and compassionate citizens who are useful for the community.
Over 1,600 employees are working hard to provide a comprehensive educational program to approximately 8,600 students from kindergarten to grade 12 in SD71’s 15 elementary schools, 1 middle school, 3 secondary schools, 2 alternative schools, and a distributed learning school. Comox Valley School’s annual operating budget is approximately $100 million.
